Webster facing big swing
An opinion poll released overnight is suggesting a double digit swing against sitting Mallee MP Anne Webster in the May 21 federal election.
The YouGov research predicts 10 per cent will be shaved of Dr Webster's margin and could make Victoria's largest seat for area marginal. It puts Dr Webster, in her first term as the local federal MP, on 37 per cent.
Independents are polling 17 per cent, the Greens seven per cent and UAP five per cent.
Surprisingly, the research puts One Nation at nine per cent despite its candidate Vanessa Atkinson being reported as a "ghost candidate" living in Queensland.
Labor is on 25 per cent, according to the poll.
The two-party margin, according to the research, is currently 56-44. Dr Webster's current margin is 16 per cent.
