Verandah to be restored
THE owner of a vacant Inglewood hotel now wants to restore the building’s dangerous verandah.
Steven Prior on Friday said an application for restoration would be lodged with Loddon Shire Council this week for work on the Royal Hotel verandah,
His pledge came four days after a Magistrates’ Court hearing made an order for owners to comply within 60 days with a council building notice to make the verandah safe.
Safety fencing has surrounded parts of the dangerous verandah for more than a year, blocking sections of the footpath in Brooke and Verdon Streets.
