Tiny towns and flowers

CRAFT and art lovers will be meandering through Loddon communities this weekend as they take a tour of Goldfields towns.

Tarnagulla, Laanecoorie and Dunolly are part of this year’s Tiny Towns Arts Trail billed by organisers as the chance to “discover hidden treasures and luscious local secrets buried in the creative heartland of the central Victoria.”

The trail stretches from Clunes to St Arnaud.

Headlining the local involvement is Frances Clarke at Tarnagulla’s Octopus and Queen where a new mural will be unveiled on Saturday morning and high teas served over the three days of the arts trail.

At Laanecoorie, where the Australian Chrysanthemum Championships are being held, local ceramic artist Robyn Smith-Clark will open her home studio for a first-time local exhibition.
