Second half match

BOORT scored the first goal against Wedderburn on Saturday but it would be another two quarters before the Pies matched it on the scoreboard at Donaldson Park.

The Redbacks quickly levelled the score in the first minutes and proceeded to build on their opening score and by the end of the term they had opened up a substantial 26-point lead over the Magpies.

Boort after the promising start were not able to build on that good start as they could only post one more major score for the term that being a result of a 50 for a Redbacks’ undisciplined comment towards the umpire.

The Redbacks suffered a major blow when full forward Ben DeAraugo left the ground.

The second term started the same as the first with the Magpies getting the first major score for the quarter with a goal to Levi Moss.
