Ready to celebrate

SCORES of paper wattles and waratahs are taking shape for the return of Pyramid Hill’s Australia Day celebrations tomorrow.

Daily workshops are being held at the town’s neighbourhood house where Harry Cain, Charlotte Pickles and Fletcher Cain were making the colourful decorations last week.

The creative trio are pictured being cheered on by Kim Bennett, Rachel Cain and Tammy Peter ahead of the local Lions club’s community gathering.

Club president Tania Quinn said the club was excited to be bringing locals together on Australia’s national day after the event was cancelled last year.

Tania said a government grant for the community celebration meant COVID compliance could be managed and music, activities and meals provided.
