Park expansion works

THE first of 16 new cabins are due at Boort Lakes Holiday Park next month.

Owner Wendy James said the cabins were being constructed in Bendigo as part of the $700,000-plus expansion to boost seasonal worker accommodation.

Wendy said the first four cabins would arrive early next week with four being transported to Boort each month.

She said concrete footings had been installed ready for arrival of the cabins.

New boom gates are expected to be installed within the fortnight. The expansion is being jointly funded by owners Wendy and Tim James and the State Government.

Meanwhile, projects that have received Loddon Shire support at the the park are also progressing.

Wendy said a new roadside fence had been completed and roads sealed near the park office. “Everything is on schedule,” she said.

New power heads and sullage points had been installed on powered sites. And a new toilet block arrived on Friday ready for connection this week.
