Nearing 1000 cases
AFTER yesterday's surge in number, just seven new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Loddon today.
There are currently 79 active cases in local communities, according to State Government data.
However, since the pandemic started, a total of 994 cases have been reported.
On recent trends, the total number of cases in more than two years will surpass 1000 in coming days.
The would mean almost 1 in 7 local people have had COVID at some point since March 2020.
