Museum upgrade funds
PYRAMID Hill has shared in a $4 million State Government program for museums and art galleries.
The town’s museum is one of 36 recognised with grants under the Regional Collections Access Program .
Pyramid Hill and District Historical Society will receive $30,840 to adapt existing spaces for better cataloguing and record storage.
A museum annexe will have a connecting door installed to an existing work area, doubling the available area. The project will also fit out the area with a worktable, shelving, compactus and other equipment to improve use of the new space
And Charlton’s Golden Grains Museum will receive $27,623 to purchase new showcases to expand its exhibitions and visitor offerings into the former 1876 Wesleyan Chapel, enabling the display of its religious and medical collection
