Memories are made

TOOLS and implements long discarded on district farms and in back gardens are being skilfully repurposed for the new healing garden at Boort District Health.

After an amazing community response to an appeal late last year for old rabbit traps, horse shoes and other agricultural implements, dozens of donations have been incorporated into a new sculpture that will be a feature of the garden.

“The community has been wonderful in answering the call,” said Laurie Maxted who is close to finishing the special work of art.

“There’s rabbit traps, horseshoes, railway pegs, hand shears, wire strainers, old roller chains from worn out headers.
