Loddon Valley season over

Loddon Valley league has just announced the the abandonment of the 2021 season.

Teams who finished on top of the ladder will be named as minor premiers.

The league said:

The Victoria Government announced on Wednesday 8th September 2021 the easing of restrictions for Regional Victoria from 11.59pm Thursday 9th September 2021.

Unfortunately, the “easing of restrictions” permits outdoor training only for Community Sport. This limitation will be in place until the 23rd September 2021.

Therefore, the Loddon Valley Football Netball League Board of Management regretfully confirm that the 2021 finals series is now cancelled.

Teams who have finished top of the ladder at the end of the home and away season will be acknowledged and recorded as ‘Minor Premiers’. No premiership cups, medals or flags will be awarded.

The LVFNL Season 2021 Best & Fairest Vote Counts for each grade of football and netball will be broadcast on Fresh FM radio; Monday 13th September commencing at 6:30pm.

Season 2021 has proved to be challenging for all involved in Community Sport. The LVFNL Board of Management wish to thank all LVFNL Clubs for their support, persistence, patience, and contributions throughout the year.

The LVFNL is grateful for the continued support of our many sponsors who have also endured a difficult year. The support of the Bendigo Bank, Trade Institute of Victoria, ASQ and Bendigo Taxi’s along with the many other businesses that support our League has been appreciated and will hopefully continue for Season 2022.

The LVFNL Board of Management wish LVFNL Clubs and all supporters the very best for the remainder of 2021 and look forward to Season 2022.
