In the winnings

Serpentine breeder-co-owner Robert Rothacker and wife Karen shared in a winner at Kilmore last week when Captaintreacherous-Aniteattheopera gelding Kaptain Kidd on debut scored in the 2180-metre three-year-old pace., Len Baker writes in the latest Loddon Herald.

Kaptain Kidd driven by Ross Payne settled at the rear of the field from gate four on the second line as the heavily supported Lollipop led from gate four.

With Lollipop travelling easily approaching the home turn, the race changed complexion dramatically when she galloped wildly veering outwards checking several runners.

This allowed Kaptain Kidd one/four last lap) to avoid the trouble and he charged down the outside to prevail by 3.8 metres over Eye See Amour.
