Home by six

BOORT YANDO took on new comers Murrabit who had newfound confidence after their terrific win over Cohuna in under 13 cricket.

Murrabit won the toss and elected to bowl. Owen Byrne and Deklan King opened and were steady and composed before King was caught by McDonald.

Cooper Gooding came into bat and his performance was described as clinical by his team mates, Gooding spanking six fours and three sixes in his 15 balls before retiring at 43.

Liam King (17) and Darby Perryman (1) made their debuts with the bat and handled themselves well.

Luke Boyd and Jake O’Flaherty joined the boundary club hitting some delightful looking boundaries. Boort- Yando finished with 4/135 Murrabit came out swinging.

Wickets to Boyd, King, Malone, Zanker and Perryman kept Boort in the game.

Boort snuck home by six runs.
