Hockey success

NORTH Central men’s team has finished an impressive third in the hockey senior country championships played at the weekend.

Men played their matches at Footscray Hockey Centre, battling the wind and cold for the first couple of days and were unlucky not to have put a win on the board.

They shone on the third day with a draw against the sixth ranked team in A Grade, Ballarat and then won against Ballarat B to finish third in the tournament.

The C Grade women’s played at Stead Park in Geelong in a mixed competition alongside the Masters, winning two games, drawing one and losing two of their pool games.
