Historic engine moved
PYRAMID Hill’s historic Ruston Hornsby engine has been taken for safe storage to Mitchell Park.
The engine that was housed at the town’s butter factory, later the pet food factory and was used as a back-up electricity supply, has been donated to the local historical society.
Society members removed the engine to Mitchell Park where it is being stored with other machinery and implements until the site in Barber St is ready for a new display centre planned by the society.
The shed that housed the engine was also been carefully removed for re-erection.
