Good form continues

KORONG Vale mare Courts Bliss continued her great form with an excellent second at Mildura last Friday night for trainer Steve Branson and driver James Herbertson, making it three wins and a second from her last four starts.

Courts Bliss will line up in Race 3, No 5 at Swan Hill this evening at at 6.57.

Vincent Kai ran his usual honest race at Charlton on Monday for trainer Grant Innes. After leading, Vincent Kai held on well to claim third prizemoney.

St Arnaud pacer Dot The Eye also ran his usual honest running second at Charlton also. Coming from last and between horses, he eventually got a run up the inside to claim second for trainer Denis McIntyre and driver Michael Bellman.

Wedderburn Harness Racing Club is saddened by the loss of committeeman Jason Sposito last Saturday. Jason was a popular figure around the club looking after the numbers’ room on raceday. Jason was also goal umpire and cricket umpire in Melbourne and Bendigo.

Harness racing is at Bendigo this Saturday night with the highlights the Smoken Up Free For All and the heats of the Victoria Derby and Victoria Oaks of which the finals will be at Bendigo the following Saturday along with the $300,000 Victoria Cup.
