THE first public camp sites on Loddon River grazing land have been named.
Five locations between Serpentine and Baringhup have been added to the Department of Environment, Water Land and Planning website amid fears for farm biosecurity and safety.
The Loddon locations follow the approval of 13 sites along the Goulburn River and five on the Ovens since March under new State Government regulations opening riverfront licensed farm land to camping.
Salisbury West farmer Colleen Condliffe said her family’s property had been inspected by DEWLP earlier this year and she received a phone call last week saying the formal notification was in the mail.
