Fires at state park

This Community Information is being issued for Appin South, Canary Island, Leaghur.

• There is a grassfire at Leaghur.

• Firefighters are responding to this fire.

• Smoke may be visible from nearby roads and communities.

There is no immediate threat to the community and no action is required.

EARLIER: More than 15 CFA units are fighting fires between Leaghur and Canary Island.

According to Emergency Victoria, one fire has now burned through more than 50 hectares.

Neither fire are yet listed as being under control although no warnings have been issued for the fires at Leaghur State Park.
