End of the road

A COMMUNITY bus service that operated for more than a decade has shut down after losing $13,000.

Inglewood Community Neighbourhood House says patronage and use have dramatically dropped since COVID.

And what may have been a financial lifeline after the service lost $13,000 in six months, did not get off the ground with a National Disability Insurance Scheme provider bid unsuccessful.

House manager Kim Hanlon said the bus ran its final service in December and the house committee last week decided it would not return. Options are being investigated to sell the bus.
