Demons' coach steps down

GLEN Scholtes will stepp down as senior coach at Calivil United.

The club stalwart was appointed coach in November 2019 but had to wait until April this year for the team to hit the ground..

A Demon since 2004, Scholtes played in four premiership sides and had previously served as president and junior coach.

But Scholtes will use 2022 to “take some time away from coaching the seniors and focus on family”.

“My son plays under 12s so I will most likely get involved with him in some capacity,” Scholtes said. “I will definitely keep in touch with Calivil in some capacity though.”

This season has been one of rebuilding for the Demons with just two wins.

“There has been lots of development in our young group of players and off-field has been a really good vibe and atmosphere,” he said.
