Community grants for clubs
MORE than $38,000 in community grants were approved by Loddon Shire councillors at their meeting on Tuesday.
Boort Lakeside Croquet Club will receive $9117 towards the $13,676 cost of a new ride-on mower while Bridgewater on Loddon Development has been allocated $4150 towards the $6484 cost of installing a new solar system to the memorial hall.
Arnold Cricket Club will receive $10,000 to connect to the GWM pipeline and irrigate the oval that will cost $32,217, Wedderburn Historical Records Museum $4500 that will be used to publish a new book Wedderburn War Veterans: Saluting their Service South Africa, World War One, World War Two, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq that will cost $16,850 to print and Wedderburn Lions Club $3762 towards a new portable toilet with a price of $5643. Serpentine Bowling Club has been allocated $6611 towards the line bowls green ditching $9916 project.
