Chasing piece of history
MORE THAN 400 people attended Friday’s clearing sale at Fiery Flat, bidders anxious to get their hands on pieces of history.
James Nevins, of auctioneers FP Nevins and Co, said the large crowd and strong bidding had made for an outstanding sale for the Curnick family.
A select group of bidders waited to the final lots for old cars and trucks.
A 1928 Buick was sold to a Loddon restorer for $3400 while two Vanguards went for $500 and $400, an Austin for $600 and a McCormick tractor fetched $2300.
