Can they bat?

POTENTIAL big-hitters were nobbled by unrelenting bowling attacks in Upper Loddon cricket at the weekend.

For a 10th time in the 15-round season, no batsman reached triple figures.

Teams were back in the pavilion without batting through the 35 overs, unable to withstand bowling onslaughts.

Just three batsmen have made centuries this season - Bridgewater openers Tom McKinley 115 not out and Pat Murphy 101 not out with Arnold skipper Phil Scholes also hitting an unbeaten 101.
