Business backs students

LODDON businesses were providing an invaluable career pathway for local students, said Wedderburn College careers vocational education assistant Robyn Vella.

Robyn said eight college students had been placed with employers as part of their Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning course to gain hands-on and practical employment skills.

“The students are across many sectors - mechanical, hospitality and agriculture,” she said.

“It’s exciting that the businesses have embraced taking on VCAL students this year and providing an amazing opportunity for them,”
