BREAKING: Tender awarded
LODDON Shire Council announced just before midday that it had awarded a $4.9 million contract to Serle Brothers for stage one construction of Wedderburn’s Donaldson Park Community Hub.
The announcement, just as the Loddon Herald was going to print, said: “Stage one of the Donaldson Park Community Hub project in Wedderburn will see the construction of a new multi-sport and community-focused pavilion.
“Stage one will also include the construction of a carpark, solar installation with batteries, pavement works and landscaping.
“Design is currently underway for stage two of the project, which will be delivered as part of the overall project at a later date.
“This stage will include a new multi-faceted playspace for all abilities, landscaping and internal paths.”
The council said stage one works were anticipated to start in September and estimated to be completed October 2023, subject to weather and supply of materials.
Funding for the council project has also been received from the Federal and State Governments, Donaldson Park Committee of Management, user groups, the community and Inglewood and Districts Community Enterprises.
