Block passed in

A VACANT town block at Newbridge has been passed in at auction.

Auctioneer Luke Nevins put the main street property to bid on behalf of the Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst.

The auction initially sought a bid of $60,000 before an offer of $10,000 was made for the 3761 square metre block.

However, the land was passed in on the vendor bid of $50,000.

More than a dozen people attended the auction with just one bidding.

Newbridge has more than 120 town blocks but is not connected to water and sewerage.
