Back from break

PLAYER shortages impacted the weekend’s Marong and District Tennis Association.

Back from the break, just two games were contested with clubs scrambling to assemble teams.

Harcourt brought in two of its former junior players who contributed to the strong win over Lockwood.

Willow Kelly, David Gearing and Col Green were three-set winners for Harcourt.

The match also saw many close sets with Harcourt finishing just 12 games ahead of the visitors.

The victory puts Harcourt well clear of Lockwood on the ladder.

At Woodstock, neighbours Newbridge were again in dominant form and secured a convincing victory.
