14 units tackle fire

Bridgewater, Rheola, Inglewood, Dunolly, Marong, Woodstock West, Newbridge and Murphy's Creek brigades and aircraft brought fire under control.

Meanwhile brigades have now been called to a fire between Bridgewater and Serpentine near Foley's Road

EARLIER

Fourteen CFA units are fighting a fire between Bridgewater and Newbridge.

The fire on Bridgewater-Maldon road near Morse's Lane was reported about 2.14pm.

The fire is travelling west towards the Bridgewater-Dunolly road, the CFA said in an alert at 2.56pm

Motorists have advised not to use the Bridgewater-Maldon road.
