100s set for run

WITH just days to Sunday's Run for Resilience, organisers have received more than 400 registrations.

It will be third time lucky for the Active Farmers event promoting rural communities and wellbeing - twice scheduled for 2021, Run for Resilience was postponed by COVID restrictions.

But organiser Claire Harrison said resilience had shone through with hundreds of eager participants preparing for one of three courses around Bridgewater on May 14.

Claire hopes there will be more than 500 registrations when runners and walkers step off from 8am.

Many are expected to take the 5km course honouring Lesley Morrison who died last year. The Fitty’s Five participants will start at 9.30am.

“We know there are significant benefits to both physical and mental health when we are physically fit and have a challenge to work towards,” Claire said.

This event will also provide the community with an opportunity to get together, have some fun and enjoy the community connection
